IML - IN MOULD LABELLING
IML - IN MOULD LABELING, competitive labeling method for the standard technology, which uses self-adhesive paper labels. The IML process permanently combine two elements: a label and packaging. This combining takes place at the time of formation of the finished package, at the "injecting"company.
Because these elements are made of the same material, IML product (packaging) is homogeneous in terms of packaging material and it can be recycled.
Another advantage of IML packaging is its high durability. The packaging is resistant to water, grease, dirt, UV radiation and large temperature differences.
IML labels for these packages are made of very thin foil, its thickness falls in the range of 57
µm to 100
IML foil is completely non-absorbing, which requires special materials, machinery that is adapted to work with plastics and vast knowledge of offset printing and postpress processes.
Due to the specific construction of IML foil printing on the surface is very difficult. Vast knowledge of offset printing technology, material science (such as- Construction of offset inks, varnishes, foil), as well as the knowlage of physico-chemical phenomena governing the world of plastics is required in order to produce IML labels well. Due to many years of work with plastics we possess such knowledge and use it in the production process.
Using any kind of foil in production, we have an impact on the final appearance of the label. We produce either matt, glossy or smooth labels, also with the "orange peel" effect.
We print small and large labels, sheet size: from B3 to B1.
IML labels produced by Grafix are used in many segments of market packaging, such as food, chemical, construction, hygieni
We are able to carry out large size labels
- Packages for building materials
- Containers for cheese and yoghurt
- Food packaging
